What we Believe
Because we come from many different backgrounds, we do not have the same experiences of God, nor do we all have the same theology.
What we do have in common is that we are on a spiritual journey of discovery. Beliefs that we hold in common are expressed in our Bedrock Beliefs. The way that we help each other on this journey is summarised in our Core Values
At Northern Lights MCC, we expect people to be different from each other! We offer a range of ministries and activities that answer a variety of different needs and interests.
We try and reflect God’s all inclusive love by making everyone welcome. Some people ask if you have to be lesbian gay, bisexual or transgendered, to be part of Northern Lights MCC. The answer is NO!
As you get to know us, you will notice that many different people are involved in the life and ministry of our faith community. We believe that every person has the potential to serve God and other people – it is not just for those who are ordained or a select few. For just some of the ways in which ordinary members of our congregation are involved see the Ministry Teams Page.
