Tuesday 18th July: 7:30pm Proud Catholics: Prayer for Pride. A quiet time of prayer, giving thanks for our lives and the love of God, followed by social time with bring and share refreshments. St Andrew’s RC Church (NE1 6UW) and Zoom |
Saturday 22nd July: 10:30am Pre-March Prayer Service. An ecumenical service put together by LGBTQ+ affirming Christians ahead of the Northern Pride march through Newcastle. St James’s URC. (NE1 8JF) |
Saturday 22nd July: 12pm Northern Pride March. Various Christian groups will be marching, join us at or after the prayer service. Meet at Newcastle Civic Centre |
Saturday 22nd July: 4pm Eucharist for the Feast of St Mary Magdalene. A Church of England service of Holy Communion with a homily for Mary Magdalene. There will also be all-age activity tables dotted around the Cathedral for the whole of Pride Weekend exploring the theme of ‘my family’ in all its diversity. Newcastle Cathedral. Sunday 23rd July: around 9pm Northern Pride Vigil. The inclusive final event on the Northern Pride mainstage is a candlelit vigil, a moment to pause and reflect as a community (no ticket required if you are only attending the vigil). Pride Main Stage, Town Moor Sunday 30th July: 6:30pm Northern Lights MCC Pride Thanksgiving Worship Service.
